Welcome to Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha, Adas Sanchalit, Kala Mahavidyalaya, Kaij, Honorable Ex M.L.A. Shri. Baburaoji Adaskar founded Shri. Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society in 1966, to fulfill the educational requirements of the rural area Students. As the years rolled, society established 19 High schools, 03 Hostels, 04 Jr. Colleges, 02 senior colleges, 01 polytechnic College, 01 CBSE English School, 01 pharmacy College and 01 Nursing College in Kaij, Dharur, Wadwani and Ambajogai taluka’s of Beed District. Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Education Society established Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Kaij (Arts) in 2001 at Adas to fulfill requirement of higher education for students living in rural areas.

The college is Non-Grant and it is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The college offers UG degree programme in Arts faculty. The college also offers certificate courses in Environmental Science, Computer Science. The total students graduate from this college near about 3000 till this date and out of which 44.66 % students belong to backward category.

There are 12 permanent full time teaching faculties including one librarian and one physical director, all faculties are salaried and they receive UGC pay scale. Out of 12 teaching faculties, 03 teaching faculties having Ph. D. as highest qualification, 02 teaching faculties passed M. Phil as highest qualification, 03 teaching faculties doing Ph. D. Work and 07 teaching faculties passed NET/SET examination. There are 08 members for non-teaching staff. All are salaried. The college campus is having adequate and required infrastructure, which is established on 2 acres. It includes well furnished 12 classrooms, 01 computer laboratory with 30 computers, college library with required numbers of books, separate principal office, teaching staff room, ladies room.

The college gives ample evidence of significant progress in all its curricular, teaching-learning activities, governance, leadership and innovative practices. All these activities are leading to intellectual capital human resources, empowerment and socio-economic changes. Thus it is constantly and continuously ensuring access, equity, relevance and accountability apart from innovative practices.

We have been giving maximum emphasis to uplift SC, ST, NT, OBC students as well as women of all sections. An Institution that rests on a strong academic foundation, blended with a modern approach that seeks to mould young men and women into successful role models. The college has earned a name and fame due to its academic excellence, regularity and punctuality of its rigorous routine, high standard of discipline, administrative control and progressive outlook to serve the society.

We at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Shikshan Sanstha, Adas Sanchalit, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Adas, believe that learning beyond classroom is equally important as the classroom interaction. Therefore, students are encourages to organize, participate in various co- curricular, extra-curricular activities as well as sports. Our efforts are to provide education to the masses, educationally, disadvantaged and the first generation learners. We strive to achieve academic excellence by imparting quality teaching-learning, research, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We also wish to develop socially responsible citizens with ethics and morals, hence build the nation. Highly motivated and qualified faculty members constantly seek to upgrade their teaching methods in order to enlarge the mental horizons of their students even as the office staff tries to provide an atmosphere of efficiency and cordiality conducive to the process of learning. I am very sure through collaborative effort we can achieve more to benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.
